Course Title: Special Topics on Computer and Network Security
Description: Concepts in protecting computer systems and networks from attacks
Prerequisites: CMSC 125 and CMSC 131 or COI

This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills in identifying threats and vulnerabilities as well as developing protection mechanisms for computer systems and networks.
At the end of this course the students should be able to:

Attendance will be checked every meeting. Students with
seven(7) or more absences in the lecture or four(4) or more absences
in the lab will be automatically dropped from the course.
There will be a closed door policy, 1:15pm.
No makeup will be given to missed quizzes and assignments. Makeup exam will be given only to those who can provide a valid excuse slip.
Students caught cheating will automatically get a grade of 5.0 for the course.
